Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Management at San José State University in Silicon Valley.
I was previously an Assistant Professor in Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship Department at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business in Dallas, Texas.
Broadly, my research investigates how new technologies affect firm strategies for protecting and commercializing innovation in the digital economy. I am particularly interested in what legal gray areas emerge from new technology and the implications for strategy, policy, and society. This work is motivated by my previous professional experience as a financial consultant for a variety of litigation and transactional law firms in the U.S. and abroad.
I obtained my PhD in Strategy and Business Policy from HEC Paris. My advisor at HEC Paris is Dr. Thomas Åstebro. For two years in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I studied as a visiting student at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to joining SMU's faculty, I worked as the Policy Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School.
Outside of work, you will find me rock climbing and occasionally competing on America Ninja Warrior.
